This Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies and similar technologies used by the website www.mecomsrl.com (the "Site"), operated by Me.co.m. S.r.l. ("Mecom", "we"), in accordance with Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003 and subsequent amendments) and with the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante). This document supplements, and does not replace, the Site's Privacy Policy, to which you should refer for complete information on the processing of personal data.
Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send to your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored and then sent back to the same websites on your next visit. Cookies may be "technical", necessary for the proper functioning of the site or of its features, or "profiling" cookies, used to track the user's browsing and to build profiles of their tastes, habits or choices, generally for marketing purposes. Profiling cookies require the user's prior consent; technical cookies, being necessary for the use of the site, do not.
In its current configuration, the Site does not install profiling cookies or technical navigation or session cookies. For the management of contact, quotation request and job application forms, the Site does not require any cookie to be set on your device.
To understand how the Site is used and to improve its content, we use Matomo, a web analytics platform provided and hosted on its own server by Quamm S.r.l., the digital agency that developed and technically manages the Site on behalf of Mecom. The tool is configured in anonymised, cookieless mode: it does not install any cookie on your device and does not use any persistent identifier to recognise recurring visits; the IP address is truncated/anonymised before being recorded. The information collected (pages visited, time spent, referring page, device type and browser) is processed exclusively in aggregated and statistical form.
This configuration, in line with the guidance of the Italian Data Protection Authority, makes the tool comparable, for the statistical purposes it performs, to technical cookies: since it does not entail the identification of the individual user nor the installation of any cookie, its use does not require your prior consent. We include it in this document to ensure maximum transparency about the measurement tools used on the Site.
The Site does not load fonts from Google Fonts: the Roboto font is served locally from the same domain as the Site and does not trigger direct requests to Google servers for text rendering.
The Site does not use tracking pixels, social plugins or third-party marketing automation and remarketing tools (e.g. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn Insight Tag).
Although the Site does not install cookies that require a choice on your part, you can always check and manage any cookies present on your device (for example, set by other sites you visit) directly through your browser settings, which allow you to delete cookies already stored and to block their future installation, in whole or in part. Disabling technical cookies of other sites may impair their proper functioning; this does not apply to the Site, which does not require their use.
